CONVERSATIONS 2024: Exploring the Role of Chatbots and Human-Centered AI in Large Language Models for eHealth Applications
As we start the new year, we’re reflecting on our team’s recent experience at CONVERSATIONS 2024, a premier international workshop dedicated to chatbots & human-centered AI. Held on December 4-5, 2024, in the vibrant city of Thessaloniki, Greece, the event brought together AI professionals and researchers from around the globe to share insights and explore the latest advancements in conversational technologies and user interactions.
The workshop’s keynotes, including one from Professor Benjamin R. Cowan on the evolving dynamics of user behavior in AI systems, set the stage for discussions. Our team was excited to contribute to this global conversation, sharing our perspective on the latest research and developments in the AI field. The conference’s interactive format provided ample opportunities for networking, allowing us to connect with industry leaders and like-minded researchers that examined a wide range of topics, from ethical considerations in AI to the future of conversational interfaces.
On the first day, our team actively participated in the “LIGHTNING TALKS” session, where we had the opportunity to present in a 2-3 minute format, showcasing ongoing research and topics of interest to the wider community. This fast-paced, interactive session provided a great platform for exchanging ideas and promoting our work.
The second day featured an engaging interactive session that allowed us to delve deeper into the latest trends in conversational AI. The opportunity to interact directly with fellow researchers and practitioners fostered invaluable collaborations and insights into the future of AI.
As we continue to push the boundaries of AI and its application in daily life, events like CONVERSATIONS 2024 serve as an invaluable platform for learning, sharing ideas, and building lasting collaborations.
