Digital Cretan Hagiography Workshop using new technologies and 3D virtual reality.
The “Digital Workshop of Cretan Hagiography” will be an online platform with the use of which one can learn the art of Hagiography, remotely, using a PC, using the internet and new technologies (whether modern or asynchronous ).
It will offer learners, among other things, high-quality digital educational media (such as course videos with 3D graphics and realistic animation), integrated interaction tools (such as online tests, online library), knowledge bases and supporting materials (such as texts, articles, assessments).
It will support access for people with special needs (PWD). For this reason, compliance with the guidelines of the W3C/WAI Web ContentAccessibilityGuidelines 1.0 standard at least at Level A is foreseen.
The goals of the project include:
- classic research and development activities
- innovation promotion action
- preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of Crete
- introduction of new technologies
- leveraging society in the creative direction of cultural pursuits
